mark heli skiing in turkey

I have skied all over the world and this was easily my favourite experience. Six days of fresh untracked powder. There were sixteen of us and we skied in groups of four plus a guide. The skiing was intense and we often found ourselves breathless at the bottom of a run and sweaty in the helicopter. Three of us wore Icebreaker and we were considerably more comfortable than the others. After a few days of hard skiing we were also significantly more approachable!

georgina in her blundstones

My name is Georgina, and 4 years ago I left Vancouver to work and travel. I bought a pair of Blundstone boots on the recommendation of a friend. It was one of the best purchases I've ever made. They have taken me on walks through the green pastures of the UK, biking through Scotland, hiking in Spain, exploring the terraces and tidal pools of Malta, crossing rivers in Thailand, climbing ruins in Cambodia (see attached picture) and after all that and much, much more, they polish up well enough to pass as dress boots for a dinner out in London. I am heading back to Canada for a visit soon, and will have to get a new pair, as when I was in orocco, they finally met their match in a camel harness. I guess a camel broke the Blundstones back... sorry. Georgina

gregs blundstone story

Yesterday I went to the barbers. Ok Karl is not really a barber.. he does hair and colour. I arrive a bit late but no worries.. there is a man in the chair with tinfoil in his hair. I am not alarmed. My mother used to have this done. However it is a man. We are introduced. Karl my hair dresser makes some jokes about the man with a tin foil head. I sit down and prepare to have my hair cut. Having been shaved pretty much bald a month ago I have reassessed my hair style. Something came to me the other week.. ahh. I thought I should give my Grandpa's classic crew cut a go. Graydon always had short neat hair... if it would get longer then 2 inches he would say it was getting caught in his car door. Karl was agreeable.. he called it a modern day interpretation of the flat top.

While sitting in the chair I was looking at my Blundstones, as I do, and thinking about the photo shoot we had just done of used boots. Geez my boots look kinda used. Then I noticed I could see my soles in the mirror. A perfect boot shot. Ahh and luck was with me... in the man purse, was Walker's camera (I have no longer have a camera..it was stolen at the bluesfest). So I asked man with shiny head if he was good with a camera. He was confused.... but answered with an affirmation. I then motioned to my man purse, which he obediently passed to me. Out came the camera and then I explained what I saw. Before I knew it my not gay hairdresser Karl was getting quite creative while they composed the dream idea. Here it is. I am pleased. Greg
